It was such good fun last year, that we’re doing it again!
Yes, for the second year running we have organised a community cycle ride from Poundbury Great Field to Dorchester centre and back on Sunday 12th July.
The event is free to take part. Its purpose is to have a bit of fun, provide a safe environment for adults and children to experience cycling on the roads in Dorchester and also highlight the lack of good cycling infrastructure in our County Town.
We recommend that children are trained to bikeability level 1 and that they are accompanied by their parents. The ride is about 3 miles through the town. There will also be a short ride round The Great Field for younger cyclists. There will be prizes!
Last year we had just under 100 people take part and are hoping for more this year.
The event is free and is sponsored by Dorchester Transport Action Group with the support of the Town Council.
