Do you wish we had better transport in and around Dorchester? Dorchester Transport Action Group (DTAG) is holding the Big Dorchester Transport Conversation on Wednesday 18th June at the Corn Exchange Dorchester. The meeting is 7:00pm to 9:00pm, and the bar will be open from 6:30pm.
Come along and have your say and contribute to making our transport system better and more responsive to the populations needs.

Please restore a bus service to Stratton. A bus goes to Yeovil and could easily be diverted through the village. There are elderly people in Stratton who would find a regular bus service a lifeline.
If you can come along to the Big Conversation you could raise this issue and talk about how DTAG could help your local community start a campaign to get the bus diverted.
A bus service from Stratton to Dorchester would much appreciated by many residents.
A bus route restored to Stratton should be discussed. The village is disconnected to any town. Both you d and old need to be able to have the ability for independence and without a bus service with are dependent on others for lifts.
I echo Jenny Hunts comments. We should have a bus service in Stratton, The old people are completely cut off when they have to surrender their cars & loneliness could become a serious issue.
Villages, like Stratton are starved of public transport, especially between Yeovil and Dorchester. With an ageing population and a push to become greener a bus link through Stratton is essential
As there is a push now towards a greener environmental policy, a bus service through Stratton, would help to reduce congestion on the roads, assist the elderly and those without cars to enjoy the benefits of Dorchester and Yeovil.
Cyclists and those using scooters should not be allowed to cycle through Dorchester pedestrian area, it is very dangerous for all pedestrians.
If you don’t have your own transport in Stratton then you are very isolated. A bus service would enable those who have to give up driving for whatever reason, to keep their independence and quality of life.
A cycle path on the A35 heading from Bridport to Poundbury. It is a very fast road and not very safe for a cycle into town.
