Our latest new link is to Dorset CAN – or Climate Action Network.
With extreme weather spreading around the globe, global emissions still rising, and with transport creating 26% of total UK emissions, working together to address this problem is arguably the most important task facing humanity – and we can start at the local level.
Dorset CAN works to inform, help and encourage families, businesses and individuals across the county to ‘do their bit’ to reduce their carbon footprint and minimise contribution to the climate and nature crisis. They also work to engage with and encourage Dorset Council and BCP Council to ‘do their bit’ to make this happen.
DCAN act as an umbrella organisation to all the many affiliated climate and eco orientated groups across Dorset, providing support where needed. Linking likeminded groups together the Network is always growing and getting stronger.
