Dorset History Centre is excited to announce the next event in its popular From the Stacks lunchtime talk series. Join them on Wednesday 30 July at 12.30pm for a fascinating insight into one of Dorset’s most iconic transport services.

At this session, Project Archivist Emma will be sharing highlights from the newly catalogued Bournemouth Transport / Yellow Buses collection. This important archive has been made accessible thanks to funding from the Business Archives Council and the Dorset Archives Trust.

The Yellow Buses collection offers a unique glimpse into the history of public transport in Bournemouth and the surrounding area. From vintage timetables to behind the scenes records, the archive tells the story of how the service evolved and served the community over the years.

The talk will take place at the Dorset History Centre on Bridport Road in Dorchester. As always, there’s no need to book, just drop in! Talks last between 15 and 30 minutes, making them perfect for a quick lunchtime break.

Feel free to bring your lunch and enjoy a relaxed and engaging session in the heart of Dorchester.
