Ride to West Bay

Ride to West Bay

A new WB1 shuttle bus service is now running between Bridport town centre and West Bay at weekends, providing a convenient and affordable way to travel between the two locations. The service, which launched on July 26, 2025, is a pilot program and runs every half hour on Saturday and Sunday afternoons and evenings. Passengers can ride for just £1 per journey, with children and bus pass holders traveling for free. The route starts at South Street car park in Bridport and travels along South Street, West Bay Road, and stops near The George in West Bay.

DTAG Secretary Giles Watts said: “We are delighted with this new service that enhances the existing X53 and is nearly emission-free and pollution-free. We hope this service will be well used, especially by holiday makers travelling between Bridport and West Bay to enjoy a great British summer.”
